This year’s edition introduces the inaugural Maroof Raza Annual Dialogue, adding a powerful platform for high-level conversations on national and global security priorities. Alongside the conference, the prestigious Times Surakshit India Awards 2026 and an exclusive Industry Expo will create a comprehensive experience that celebrates excellence, showcases innovation, and fosters meaningful collaboration.

The Times Surakshit India Awards 2026 will honour exceptional individuals, organisations, and frontline heroes whose leadership, innovation, and commitment have made significant contributions towards safeguarding people, assets, critical infrastructure, and digital environments.

The centrepiece of TSIS 2026 is the inaugural Maroof Raza Annual Dialogue — a national platform for reflection and forward-thinking that convenes the highest echelons of India's defence establishment, policymakers, strategic thinkers and industry leaders to deliberate on the most consequential questions facing India's security and geopolitical future.

The Dialogue is the flagship initiative of the Maroof Raza Centre for Security Studies (MRCSS), established by IIRIS Consulting in memory of Late Maj Maroof Raza (Retd.) — one of India's most authoritative voices on defence and strategic affairs.

As an Army officer, broadcaster, author and Strategic Advisor to IIRIS, Maj Raza spent decades championing intellectual rigour, clear strategy and an unwavering commitment to India's security environment.
The Centre institutionalises his vision through research, policy dialogue, academic engagement and youth-focused initiatives, including a flagship PhD scholarship dedicated to advancing strategic studies. Conceived as a living tribute to his legacy, each year the Dialogue invites a distinguished figure from India's strategic community to deliver the Annual Address and set the intellectual agenda for the nation's security conversation.

The Chief of Defence Staff General NS Raja Subramani * (PVSM, AVSM, SM, VSM) will deliver the Maroof Raza Annual Dialogue as part of the Times Secure India Summit 2026.

Evaluation Process

An Independent & Impartial
Evaluation Process

The Secure India Awards are built on the principle that recognition must be earned on merit alone. Every nomination passes through a two-stage evaluation that keeps the review of entries separate from the selection of winners so that no single individual or organisation can influence the outcome.

Stage One

Technical Review

Every nomination received is reviewed independently by the Technical Committee against defined criteria for its category, including the substance of the achievement, its measurable impact, its innovation and the credibility of the supporting evidence.

Based on this review, the strongest five to ten entries in each category, depending on the number and quality of nominations received, are shortlisted and forwarded to the Jury.

Stage Two

Independent Jury Scoring

Each member of the Jury evaluates every shortlisted application on their own and awards an independent score, without consultation with fellow jurors or the organisers.

The individual scores are then tallied, and the final winners in each category are determined by the combined scores of the full Jury.

This separation of roles, together with independent scoring by a Jury drawn from government, the armed forces, industry, academia and the legal profession, ensures that the Secure India Awards remain neutral, transparent and free from bias and that every winner is chosen solely on the strength of the work presented.
